Our Mission
RCC Youth Services programs are built on the belief that all youth and families have dignity, worth and the ability to improve their life circumstances. The focus of our programs is to improve the communities in which they exist by educating our youth and families in a way that is prosocial, develops a sense of connectedness with the larger community and is sustainable.
Our programs strive to assist youth and families in addressing behavioral, social, and emotional issues that may have prevented them from experiencing success in the past. While providing a safe and highly structured program, youth and families are taught positive coping strategies to reduce the length of stay in residential programs and prevent residential commitment whenever possible. Our programs work to improve the youth and family’s ability to support one another in a number of ways. These include, but are not limited to: building positive and meaningful relationships with youth and families, connecting youth and families to local resources, establishing high levels of expectation and accountability for all and creating specific measurable goals that are individualized to the needs of each youth and family.
Through our commitment to working with at-risk youth and their families, we are able to assist them in making positive choices, improving their behavior, understanding their relationship with the community and developing pro-social parenting and coping skills. These are accomplished while changing their lives in a positive and sustainable way.
